I've been looking for this hose since last year but the prices have be $12 to $20.00 more than Amazon's. I finally decided to purchase it for this spring before the price goes up and I'm very happy with it. There are no chemical odors like I found with others! It's very flexible and easy to rewind.

I bought the Apex Healthy Habitat because it is LEAD-FREE and LATEX-FREE. I feel a bit safer about using this hose, and the thin hose has lasted through several seasons of frost and heat. Most hoses kink, so there was no point in searching for a no-kink hose. I simply take good care of the Healthy Habitat hose by not tugging carelessly and by watching for kinks. However, customers should realize that there is still less than 1% LEAD still used in the hose.

I bought this product in early February, and it seemed to be a great buy. It worked well and seemed sturdy. June 23rd, I come home to find a dime sized hole in the hose. It had burst under pressure. I usually leave the water spigot on and use water via the hose spray so I don't have to constantly go to the side of the house to turn the water on/off. I've have never had any issue with other hoses so I'm a bit annoyed that this hose had such a problem. It only lasted 4 months!
If you buy this product, just be careful not to have too much water pressure, or else the hose will spontaneously burst.
